Delete your account

Last updated 24 September 2026

You can delete your LeakScan account and data in the app, in under a minute — no need to contact us. If you no longer have the app installed, email us instead and we'll do it for you. Either way, your account, your saved scans and history, and everything else described below are permanently removed.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open LeakScan and sign in.
  2. Tap Account in the bottom navigation (the person icon).
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Account.
  4. Read the warning and tap Continue.
  5. Type DELETE into the confirmation box, then tap Delete my account.
  6. You're signed out immediately and your account is permanently deleted.

Only want to clear your history, not lose your account? Use Delete all data near the top of the same Account screen instead — your login stays, only your saved analyses are removed. This page is about the second, permanent option.

Don't have the app anymore?

Email privacy@leakscan.uk from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We verify the request against that account, then process it — the same deletion described below, just requested by email instead of in-app. We aim to confirm within a few days, and always within one month as UK GDPR requires.

What gets deleted

All diagnosis results stored in your account are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days of deletion, matching our Privacy Policy. If you sent a report to a landlord by email before deleting your account, that email already left our systems when it was sent — we can't recall something already delivered to someone else's inbox, so that copy is outside our control and outside this deletion.

Your other rights

You can also ask to see a copy of your data, correct it, or object to how it's used, without deleting your account. See Your rights in our Privacy Policy, or email privacy@leakscan.uk.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled a deletion request, you have the right to complain to the UK's regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first, but you don't have to give us one.
